Student Employee of the Year Nominations 2025

Submit the following form to nominate a student employee for the annual Student Employee of the Year Award. Winners will be recognized by WSU at an awards event in April and passed along to the National Student Employment Association for a chance to win scholarships.

Nomination Letter

We ask that the nomination be in the form of a letter, addressed to the Student Employee of the Year Nomination Committee. Letters are judged based on several rubrics depending on the category (https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:f84e6840-5d17-32d4-9fa9-7496a73d5474). It is recommended that those rubrics are consulted and the nomination letters contain specific details and instances of outstanding student employee performance.

Nominator may provide examples for how the nominee: makes a distinctive contribution to the community with their work, impacts the university and/or beyond the university community (how that impact will be felt even after the job is complete), and how the nominee works to inspire others to serve the university or the community.

Nominator may provide examples for how the nominee: acknowledges the support and contributions of others in achieving results; demonstrates empathy and compassion for others; is flexible, open, and receptive to new information, ideas and approaches; shows respect and value for the unique contributions of each associate.
