  • Yes. ASCC Peer Tutoring is a free academic support service available to Washington State University students.

Tutoring is offered in subjects including biology, chemistry, accounting, business, computer science, engineering, economics, physics, statistics, psychology, and more.

ASCC peer tutors are current WSU students who have earned strong grades in the courses they tutor, received faculty recommendations, and completed tutor training. Tutors help students understand course concepts, develop effective study strategies, and build confidence in their academic abilities.

Students may use peer tutoring services as often as needed. There is no limit on the number of tutoring appointments.

Students also have access to eTutoring, which provides online academic support and writing assistance.

ASCC offers both one-on-one appointment-based tutoring and drop-in tutoring to provide students with flexible academic support options.

    • Appointment-based tutoring allows students to reserve a dedicated one-on-one session with a tutor in advance, ensuring focused support on specific course concepts, assignments, or study strategies.
    • Drop-in tutoring does not require a reservation and allows students to meet with a tutor during designated drop-in hours, and the tutor will provide focused support on specific course concepts, assignments, or study strategies.

Students are encouraged to use the option that best fits their schedule and learning needs.
