Academic Success and Career Center Cultivating Successful Scholars and Professionals

Open to all majors, all campuses

The ASCC hosts two Career Expos each year, held the first Tuesday in October and the first Tuesday in February. Due to the COVID-19 closures across the state, we are will be hosting this fall’s Career Expo Virtually.

Handshake’s Virtual Expo will allow Employers to schedule one-on-one time with students, or group sessions to share information about your company or open positions. Any employer attending the Expo must have a Handshake employers account to connect with students at the Fair.

Students will be able to schedule their time at the fair ahead of time, and will not have to wait in line during the actual fair. Video, chat and audio conversations will all be available on Handshake Video. Here is a quick look at how to schedule your day.

This will allow employers a chance to meet with students in the morning and set up interviews for the afternoon or later on in the week. More information as well as training options for this virtual fair will be added to this page.

How students can prepare:

Complete your Handshake Profile

Make your resume public.

Set your privacy to “Community” so other students and employers can view your profile.

Register for the fair and sign up to speak one on one with our employers.

Handshake does not allow virtual backgrounds, so be prepared to have a clean and professional background free of distractions.
