The Inside Sales Representative – Application Engineer is an inside sales and support position tasked with supporting our outside Account Managers and the accounts they manage. Primary responsibilities include: support of AM’s in the field, proactively connecting with new and existing customers, and generating new business – all while maintaining our Salesforce.com customer database. Strong organization, mechanical skills, problem solving skills and teamwork with our Account Management team is critical to success of this role.
Responsibilities:
Support Account Managers in the field with technical data and factory communications
Generate, deliver, and close small machine & accessory quotes on behalf of Account Managers
Generate Account Manager leads by proactively prospecting inactive and potential customers to assess customer needs
Respond to customer and Account Manager inquiries timely and ensure internal process requirements are met
Maintain accurate and up to date records of all customer communications, maintain and accurate pipeline of open opportunities, and asisst in qualifying Account Manager leads as received in Salesforce.com
Prepare sales and activity reports, presentations, and studies as needed
