>> My name is Ian Pecara, and I'm a corporate recruiter for Norfolk Southern. We are a railroad company, and we specialize in freight transportation. So we move various commodities including chemicals, intermodal, industrial, agricultural products. Many, many more all across the eastern half of the United States. We span through 22 of those states, and have quite a massive operation. It's a lot of dedication and focus working some irregular hours. For example, I had caught up on a bunch of phone calls and e-mails this morning, had this event all day today. Tonight, I go back and schedule interviews for tomorrow, and then I'm also conducting some phone interviews tonight from about 6:00 PM on. I've about five lined up, and then after that catching up on my other e-mails and other review of my postings that people [inaudible]. So travel a lot. Almost Monday through Friday and then keeping up with things in between as I'm able to do so. I look for really taking the department's needs and finding the right students to fill those needs and making sure it's not just a good fit for us on our end and that we're filling a number, but that the candidates or the students also are finding the right fit for them. So we try to be as thorough as possible in our recruiting process, and I do as well personally to make sure that, yes, I am able to tell a student this is the right fit for you, but at least I know at the end of the day I'm not setting them up for failure or for something that they would not be happy in and add a lot of value, too.
