Session description: In this session we will discuss the connections between academic and career advising. We will also cover topics including the career development process, career readiness competencies, and WSU opportunities to support students’ career development. The session will also include a brief overview of ASCC web-based career resources. The goal of this session is to provide you with the knowledge and resources to address your advisees’ initial career conversations.

Parker Dewey‘s micro-Internships connect students to diverse networks of companies and organizations to take on professional, paid, short-term assignments year-round. As a complement to existing campus recruiting efforts and semester-long internships, Micro-Internships provide opportunities for Career Launchers to demonstrate their skills, develop relationships, and explore career paths, while providing real value to businesses.

Forage is an open-access platform designed to unlock exciting careers for students by connecting them with company-endorsed Virtual Work Experience Programs.
