Program Change

A program change is when a student is being admitted to major or being released from an admitted major to a non-admitted AI plan.

  1. Click on Main Menu
  2. Click Records and enrollment
  3. Click Career and Program information
  4. Click Student Program/Plan
    1. Type in Student ID number with a leading Zero
    2. If the student returns more than once, pick the top line, most recent “Student Career Nbr” that is “Active in Program”
  5. Be sure the student is a Pullman campus student
    1. If they are NOT a Pullman student, please reach out to make sure you are able to make the update. Not many but some advisors advise for other Campus’ outside of Pullman.
  6. Add a new stack to make the Program change. In the top box click the +, this will clear out the “Program Action” and “Action Reason” so that we can admit the student to major.
  7. Click on the magnifying glass to look up actions
    1. Program Change (PRGC)                 
    2. Department Certification (CERT)     
  8. Click on the magnifying glass to look up Major you are admitted to.
    1. Sort alphabetically by “Description”
    2. Choose appropriate Major
    3. Quick note: 4000 p codes are for Post-baccs. Always use the 2000 p codes and below that unless the advisor says otherwise
  9. Once selected, the “Admit” and “Requirement Ter” will disappear.
    1. Fill “Admit Term” with admit from previous stack (can look up on page 2 of __)
    2. Fill in “Requirement Term” with current semester term, unless otherwise specified by the advisor request.
  10. Now select We now want to go into the “Student Plan” tab
    1. Make sure student didn’t have Honors. (Honor’s plans drop off when admitting to major and will need to be added back on
    2. Click the magnifying glass for Academic Plan should come up first in the list.
  11. If a sub-plan (option) is needing to be added repeat same steps as 10 in the “Student Sub-Plan” tab, there is no need to ask the advisor they will specify.
  12. Click Save
  13. ADD Advisor back onto account
  14. Click on Main Menu
  15. Click on Records and enrollment
  16. Click on Student Background
  17. Click on Information
  18. Click on Student Advisor
  19. Click on the Top right+ square to add a new stack date just like you did for the program change
  20. All previous information will disappear when you add a new stack. Click magnifying glass to add information back in. There should only be one option.  
  21. Add the advisor by looking up by last name
    1. Be sure to add all previously listed advisors back on if more than one.
    2. Make any note to email cc ALL advisors of the admit to major.
  22. Select and Click Save
