The Institute for Shock Physics (ISP) at Washington State University (WSU) is seeking a clerical assistant to provide administrative support in a fast-paced, professional office setting. The position offers part-time hours during the academic year.
A full-time position is also offered during the summer. The wage for this position is $16.66 per hour.
Duties
- Assist with purchasing, filing, and data entry as well as provide fiscal support in customized databases (Cayuse Software and Excel)
- Provide reception duties for front office such as answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting and distributing mail, etc.
- Offer additional support as needed such as preparing meeting and videoconference setup, contacting vendors for order status, and conducting inventory
Qualifications
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong skills in using MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Preference will be given to individuals with previous office experience, but that is not a requirement and training will be provided
