Position Overview
The internship involves developing prototype web applications with different types of access control to learn how to implement single sign-on across multiple applications, privileged and unprivileged accounts, and assignment of access rights to pre-assigned user roles and responsibilities. The front-end development may involve Python, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The back-end development may involve SQL and a variety of commercial access-control applications. Interns will work under the guidance and mentoring of the CEO and the Executive Vice-President of Engineering. Projects may involve all phases of the System Development Lifecyle (SDLC), including requirements specification, development, design, code reviews, and testing and documentation. The intern must participate in weekly team meetings. This involves making a presentation showing recent accomplishments and planned future activities and obtaining guidance from the intern supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
• Current students or recent alumni from undergraduate or graduate degree programs in one or more of these fields: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Experience with Python, Flask, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Experience in designing and implementing web applications
• Knowledge of cybersecurity is highly recommended
