Junior Consultant Intern – PROJXON

About the Role: 20 hrs/week, unpaid, 6-month program | Fully remote | Business Team | OPT/CPT eligible

Company Overview

PROJXON is a dynamic business solutions and operations consulting organization focused on helping companies optimize performance, strengthen internal processes, and scale efficiently. Through a combination of data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and modern workplace tools, PROJXON partners with organizations to enhance productivity and operational excellence.

The company operates through specialized teams—including Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, Technology, and Data—allowing interns and employees to gain hands-on experience in real-world business environments. PROJXON emphasizes professional growth, teamwork, and leadership development, making it a strong launchpad for career-oriented students and early professionals.

At its core, PROJXON values innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement. The organization empowers individuals to take initiative, contribute ideas freely, and develop essential business competencies while working with diverse teams across different time zones and backgrounds.

Position Overview

As a Junior Consultant Intern, you will support client engagements by helping diagnose business challenges, analyze processes and data, and contribute to solutions that improve performance and efficiency. You’ll work alongside PROJXON’s business and operations teams to help translate client needs into actionable recommendations and measurable outcomes.

This role blends structured problem-solving with real-world execution. You will assist in research, analysis, documentation, and client-ready deliverables—helping ensure each engagement is organized, insightful, and aligned with PROJXON’s values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Discovery & Problem Definition: Support intake and discovery by gathering client context, documenting goals, clarifying pain points, and summarizing findings into structured notes and action items.
  • Process Mapping & Operational Analysis: Help evaluate workflows, identify bottlenecks, and document current-state vs. future-state processes to support optimization efforts.
  • Data & Insights Support: Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (surveys, KPIs, reports, dashboards) to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Solution Development: Contribute to recommendations, implementation plans, SOPs, templates, and frameworks that help clients improve operations and execution.
  • Project Coordination: Support project timelines, meeting agendas, task tracking, and follow-ups to keep deliverables moving and stakeholders aligned.
  • Client-Ready Deliverables & Presentations: Help create slide decks, summaries, reports, and status updates that communicate insights clearly and professionally.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, Technology, Data) to gather inputs and align solutions to client needs.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA (or related program in business, I/O psychology, management, operations, analytics, or consulting)
  • Consulting experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Comfort working with data and tools (Excel/Google Sheets; dashboards/CRMs a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting
  • Professional, client-facing mindset (clear communication, responsiveness, follow-through)
  • A proactive attitude, coachability, and willingness to learn

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on consulting experience supporting real client projects
  • Exposure to business operations, process improvement, and stakeholder management
  • Practice creating professional deliverables (reports, SOPs, slide decks, recommendations)
  • Professional development, feedback, and mentorship opportunities
  • Networking within a startup/consulting environment across multiple functional teams

Additional Information

This internship offers a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments, and the duration will be limited to a specific period to ensure valuable learning without displacement of paid roles. There is no expectation of a job offer after the internship. Instead, the focus is on providing the intern with practical, educational experience aligned with their academic studies.

If you’re passionate about solving business problems and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
