Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Copywriting Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing high-quality content for our company’s website, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to learn about the world of marketing and advertising.
Responsibilities:
- Research, write and edit engaging and informative content for various marketing materials including but not limited to website copy, blog posts, social media posts, email newsletters, and product descriptions.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to ensure consistency of messaging and brand voice across all marketing channels.
- Conduct research on industry trends and stay up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques.
- Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Help to maintain and update our company’s website with fresh, relevant and SEO-optimized content.
- Support the marketing team with any additional copywriting needs as required.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
- A strong interest in marketing, advertising, and the creative industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and content marketing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
This is a unpaid (remote) internship position for school credit that requires a commitment of at least 15-20 hours per week for a duration of 3-6 months. The Copywriting Intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of copywriting for marketing purposes.
