The Academic Success and Career Center is seeking an IT Technician and Junior Web Developer to work closely with our Information Technology Managers. This position requires the successful candidate to be a self-motivated, creative problem solver. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Hours will be approximately 12 hours per week. Responsibilities:
- Develop C# and .NET web forms & dynamic web applications
- Improve/create all phases of the software life cycle
- Learn and use skills to design databases and streamline queries with T-SQL (transaction query language)
- LINQ (Language-Integrated Query) (C#)
- Test/Debug web applications
- Create cross-browser compliant dynamic web applications and Responsive web design
- Desktop troubleshooting and technical support for Windows PCs and Apple macOS systems, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and operating system issues. Provided hands-on and remote assistance to end users, ensuring issues were resolved efficiently while minimizing downtime.
- Supported tasks included operating system configuration, user account management, software installation and updates, peripheral setup (printers, scanners, monitors), network connectivity troubleshooting, and basic security support. Delivered clear technical explanations to users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with any previous programming language is required
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and databases is preferred
- Understanding of different browsers preferred
