Every year, we shine a spotlight on the student employees who keep our campus running with their energy, dedication, and hard work. These students don’t just show up—they make a difference.
On April 14, we gathered to celebrate them with an evening full of recognition and gratitude at the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY)Ceremony. The event was made to capture just how much these students contribute to their teams and to our community. Each Student was nominated and recognized by their on-campus supervisor or team members. Though a few were elected to represent their specific category, all nominees were met with well‑deserved applause and special recognition.
This year, we also honored Catholic Community Services of Western Washington (CCSWW) – Family Behavioral Health as our Employer of the Year. Beyond their consistent presence at WSU Career Expos and career development events every semester, CCSWW has demonstrated a strong commitment to Coug student success. Their commitment to hiring Cougs in Psychology, Behavioral Science, and Human Development is number one on our campus, with 43 Cougs hired in just the last 5 years!
A huge thank‑you goes out to all nominators and departments who took the time to recognize their students’ efforts and made SEOTY a special experience for all our deserving Cougs.
