Calling all Cougs – we want to highlight you this upcoming National Intern Day!

What is National Intern Day?

Since 2017, the last Thursday of July has been celebrated as National Intern Day by companies and organizations across the U.S. It’s an exciting time to collectively recognize and celebrate interns!

While internships happen year-round, we know summer is a popular time for many students to engage in this high impact practice that opens opportunity to apply, learn, and build the skills and knowledge needed to launch careers. So, save the date this year – July 31, 2025 – and check out all the ways you to be highlighted!

Highlight your internship experience and enter to win prizes!

We get it – it can sometimes feel a little awkward to highlight all the amazing things you accomplished during your internship. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

We’re launching a campaign to encourage Cougs to share their internship story ahead of National Intern Day. We invite you to participate in a variety of ways – choose the option that you find the most interesting! Whether you share your internship highlight as a written highlight or a ‘Day in the Life of an Intern’ video – you’ll even be entered to win some fun Coug merch!

Let’s show the world what Cougs can do and inspire others to try an internship, too!

We challenge you to get creative and share a ‘Day in the Life of an Intern’ through Instagram Reels or TikTok.

You can share what you do, how you get ready, and/or where you go. Use a combination of videos and pictures – the options are endless!

General guidelines

  • Use #CougsIntern and #NationalInternDay in your caption.
  • Create a video that is less than 60 seconds.
  • Avoid explicit music or audio tracks in your video.
  • Be sure that your company/employer is okay with any work-related content you post (ex. please don’t share any confidential or sensitive company information). When in doubt, check with your company’s social media policy or site supervisor.
  • Post your video before July 30 (be sure your post is publicly visible) to be entered in our prize drawing.

We’re excited to hear about your experience. We invite you to share some general information about you, your internship, and of course- the highlights from your experience! We’ll help you showcase your achievements in a way that’s both authentic and brag-worthy through an intern feature on our website. Check out this sample highlight!
