Looking for On-Campus Employment?- Here are some quick tips!

Some WSU departments and organizations on campus are HIRING NOW for 2025-2026 positions.

Be proactive in your job search! New jobs have been posted on Handshake, department announcement boards and even on department Instagram pages. Below are some key tips to get started!

Our suggestions:

  • Turn on job search notifications on Handshake (tutorial)
  • Connect with organizations you are interested in working for! (follow on Instagram and other social media pages, follow their Handshake employer profile, etc.)
  • Network with workers and visit the site visit the site!
  • Check out the “On-Campus & Work Study Job” Collections on Handshake for your campus. Use the button below to check out Pullman Jobs.
  • Attend department events (often on Handshake) and look for postings in departments/offices that also advertise for opportunities
  • Prepare a competitive application
    • Get your resume reviewed by a career coach
    • Proofread application materials
    • Request feedback on application materials from family, friends, advisors, career coaches, etc.
  • Attend the Student Employment Fairs on your campus. The WSU Week of Welcome–Student Employment Fair in Pullman is now live on Handshake

Of all these suggestions, the most important is arguably to prepare competitive application materials! Regardless of what campus you are on, there are a lot of students looking for flexible, part-time work that they do not have to commute to.
