Peer resume reviews offer relatable perspectives – drop-in and scheduled appointments available all April!

This month we’re so excited to offer peer resume reviews at the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) in the Lighty Student Services Building, room 180! Our interns are ready to help with valuable resume feedback from a relatable perspective.

Peer resume reviews can help you:

  • tailor your resume to specific jobs/internships
  • format resumes
  • build strong bullet points to emphasize your skills & experience
  • navigate Handshake or other job boards to find internships or jobs

Drop-in or schedule a peer resume review

Drop-in at the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) in Lighty Student Services Building 180.

No appointments are necessary, and drop-ins are typically 15-20 minutes.

  • Thursday, April 3 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Monday, April 7 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm
  • Wednesday, April 9 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm
  • Friday, April 11 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 15 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Wednesday, April 16 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm
  • Tuesday, April 22 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Wednesday, 23 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm

We invite you to schedule a peer resume review appointment through Handshake. Here’s an overview of how!

  1. Log-in to your Handshake account
  2. If you are using a desktop or laptop, navigate to the ‘Career Center’ tab.
  3. Then, select ‘Appointments’ and ‘Schedule New Appointments’.
  4. Select Resume Peer Review and find the date and time that works best for you!

Meet our Interns!

Kaitlynn is currently a senior studying Genetics and Cell Biology with a double minor in pre-Genetic Counseling and Psychology. During her time at WSU, she has worked as a technical assistant, a teaching assistant, and as an intern for the ASCC. While at the ASCC, she strives to help students improve their resumes, so that they can take the next steps toward their career goals! 

Mariah is a senior studying psychology and during her time at WSU she’s worked as a Teaching Assistant, a Membership Attendant at the UREC, and an intern here at the Academic Success and Career Center. While at the ASCC she’s learned skills to help her fellow peers with resume building, healthy study habits, and navigating Handshake.
