Join us Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4:10pm – 5:00pm (Pacific time) on Zoom for our Internship Insider: Standing Out and Getting Hired panel.

An internship can be a game-changer for your career trajectory, but you might be wondering why an internship matters, when to apply, or how to stand out. Hear directly from a panel of industry professionals as they share insights including:

  • understanding recruiting and key timelines for your search
  • how you can effectively communicate your skills and experience in an application or interview
  • effectiveness of networking strategies
  • and any specific questions you have as you create an internship game plan

One-on-one internship support at the ASCC

Did you know we offer year-round individual appointments and weekday drop-ins at the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC)? We look forward to connecting with you!

This April, we’re also offering some special internship-focused time at the ASCC and monthly pop-ups across campus.

Make the Academic Success and Career Center your ‘Internship Studio’ this semester – a go-to place for all things internship related!

  • drop-in when you need support with searching, resume development, LinkedIn or resume/cover letter review;
  • take advantage of our dedicated workspaces;
  • and come back as often as you’d like!

Our career team including our Internship Coordinator and Interns look forward to supporting you! Feel free to stop by any of these dates between 12:00 – 5:00pm!

This month we’re so excited to offer peer resume reviews! Peer resume reviews can offer valuable feedback from a relatable perspective.

Specifically, peer resume reviews can help you:

  • tailor your resume to specific jobs/internships
  • format resumes
  • build strong bullet points to emphasize your skills & experience
  • navigate Handshake or other job boards to find internships or jobs

Peer resume reviews are offered by appointment (Handshake) or during Internship Studio dates!

We’re bringing career services closer to you! Join us for our April pop-up on Thursday, April 24, 2025 anytime between 3:00pm – 5:00pm in Compton Union Building (CUB) 410 where you can drop in to –

  • gain insights into internship search strategies, applications tips, and interview techniques;
  • have your resume reviewed
  • discover valuable resources to help you land an internship;
  • or drop by with any of your internship questions!
