Fostering Professionalism and Diversity in the Workforce

Fostering professionalism for their employees is one of the most important goals for most employers.  In the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) article, “Examining Professionalism Through a DEI Lens” by Kevin Gray, the “biggest challenge with “professionalism’ is ensuring that all candidates and employees understand what professionalism means within the context of the organization they are working for and the specific job function they are taking on.” 

In this article, Gray connects with Chelsea C. Williams, founder and CEO of College Code and a workplace strategist, and Mikala Young, College Code’s content lead, who recommend several ways for employers and recruiters to identify and assess professionalism, from internship to tenured, with a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion focus.
